About Your Teacher
Welcome to Leclaire Elementary School! I am so excited to have your child in my class this year. It is my goal to create a comfortable and safe learning environment for your child. My hope is to meet every child's needs in a positive and nurturing environment. Together, we will have a great year!
My name is Jennifer (Davis) Fowler. I was born and raised in Edwardsville and have had the chance to see the growth of our local community over the years. My father, Jon Davis, was a math teacher and wrestling coach in Edwardsville. My mother, Mary Davis, was a music teacher in Granite City and band director with the Edwardsville Muny Band. I was married in 2006 to John Fowler and lived in Bethalto for awhile. I have two children, Logan and Hailey. In 2014, my family moved back to Edwardsville and we hope to stay here forever. I LOVE Starbucks coffee and chocolate. I enjoy scrapbooking and camping. When I can sneek off alone, I like to shop at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Kirkland's and HomeGoods.
I completed my student teaching with the Cahokia School District. I started with the Edwardsville School District in 2002. I have taught 2nd grade at Leclaire School my whole career. I have served on numerous district committees, such as Math Curriculum and Social Studies Curriculum. I am very active with the Edwardsville Education Association and Delta Kappa Gamma. I attended SIUE for all my college education. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have a Masters in Education Administration. I have completed three classes toward a doctoral program, but am unsure when I will complete that dream.
